Stuck in My Head
I haven't heard this song nor seen this video in like...10 years? For reasons unknown, this popped into my head a couple days ago and is still stuck. I had a theory that if I posted the video, it would go away. #blackmagic

Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick 70 Gigolo
I've been carrying around a lot of guilt during this absence of lip swatch shots. I'm slowly trying to work my way back into semi-legit blogging. So, I thought that if I'm going to come back with a lip post, it should be dazzling. Alors...
I would describe Guerlain Rouge G 70 Gigolo as a deep, red/wine with purple undertones. There are the most micro of all micro-shimmer particles infused in the formula that aren't really visible to the naked eye. Or, the clothed eye. Regardless, the particles are in there and give an added dimension to the finish.
The texture of this lipstick is just gorgeous. It's very smooth and creamy, with such amazing color payoff. This is the type of shade that you wear when you want to feel exotic and glamorous. I was worried that I was going to look and feel like a 1920s clown, as historically speaking, I've never been able to pull off these sort of shades. To my surprise, I really feel/felt like Gigolo worked on me. It wasn't too purple nor too "vamp". It just looked elegant and classic. I think a lot of skin tones would really enjoy wearing this shade.
Guerlain Le Stylo Levres Lip Liner 25 Iris Noir
I'm not typically one to purchase a corresponding lip liner from a brand, but Guerlain liners are incredible. The smooth and silky consistency allows one to fill in the lips without the dreaded dry-out factor. Not to mention, 25 Iris Noir is the perfect match for Gigolo. I think this lipstick is worthy of its own fancy lip liner. But, that's me.
On a random note, how great would it be to receive a compliment/question while wearing this lipstick? "What's on your lips"? #GIGOLO

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
All in all, I think Naked 2 is a pretty decent product. The colors and textures are nothing revolutionary, by any stretch of the imagination. However, they are very "every day"/"work appropriate", etc. I think that those who were intimidated by the (comparably) more intense and warm shades in Naked 1 will find this palette to be much easier to work with. I reckon a lot of blond and/or pale ladies would benefit from the Naked 2. Does it drive me crazy? Not really. But, cool(ish)-toned neutral shades never do. So, there's that.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Abyssinian Catbird Eye Shadow
This is another brand where I'm so late to the party, the dip has fossilized. Rouge Bunny Rouge has been one of the most hyped niche brands for the last couple years, and I can absolutely see why. These eye shadows are nothing short of genius, essentially.
The best way I can figure out how to describe the texture, is like if you took a Le Metier de Beaute eye shadow and made the milling of the powder slightly softer and more fine. Abyssinian Catbird went on incredibly smoothly, with zero fallout, whilst giving the effect of wearing a crease shade, by simply blending out the edge. Historically speaking, I've never been able to pull off anything in the golden olive/khaki realm, but I genuinely feel like I looked like the prettiest girl in the world wearing it (relative to the definition of "pretty").
