Haul Video: Rouge Bunny Rouge Eye Shadows and Lip Products
As I mentioned in my post regarding Abyssinian Catbird eye shadow, this brand has completely won me over. I'm not one to experiment/dabble in "niche" brands, but I'm really enjoying this little hiatus from my comfort zone. The colors and textures of these eye shadows are nothing short of genius. Naturally, I had to order a couple more.
Delicate Hummingbird and Unforgettable Oriole are just as I thought they'd be; gorgeous. I'm really looking forward to mixing them up/experimenting with different color concoctions. In terms of the lip products, I can already tell you that I'm really impressed with the Sip of Pink Shimmering Luxe Balm. I slapped it on right after the video. And, you know what? It was "shimmering" and felt very "luxe". It's like a glowing gloss and treatment, all in one. The lipsticks? I'm still clueless as to how Raw Silence and Nothing Unknown will shake out. I'm assuming I will love them, as everything else has been nothing short of stellar.
Speaking of stellar, one of my super cool YT subscribers messaged me last night, informing me of Zuneta.com's 20% off sale, which applies to all brands sold on their site. The code is "ELLE20" and is valid until February 28th! She was unsure of how long the code lasted, but the lovely blogger, Perilously Pale, made a post regarding the sale, noting the duration of the code.
I pounced right after I got the message and ordered Angelic Cockatiels eye shadow and the blushes in Delicata and Gracilis. I've been trolling the site for weeks and weeks, hoping for Solstice Halcyon eye shadow to re-appear. You can rest assured that said trolling will continue on until that shadow is in my crazy mitts. #trolling

Oooh, I'm glad that code is active for a while, because I want so many of the sold-out eyeshadows! I hope they restock.

Hey lady! How have you been? I hope well :) YES, according to Christa/PerilouslyPale, the 20 off goes through Feb. 28th. So, hopefully they will keep restocking, in the meantime. I've been waiting for like..I think over a month to get Solstice Halcyon. UGH.

Thank you for swatching Delicate Hummingbird. Been wanting this one for a while. But alas..already gone from Zuneta. :( I think it will look fantasteee with Bejeweled. Zuneta really needs to keep up their stock with RBR or better yet..RBR please come to the US already. Surely they could sell thru Space NK over here..right?? Speaking of Bejeweled..how do you think it compares with Le Metier de Beaute's Bordeaux. I don't need both..but I'm leaning toward Bordeaux just because it's so hard to get RBR colors. And I want Succulence of Dew lipstick in Watered Honey...the color used in the Zuneta video. I hope they get it back in stock soon. Your description of the texture is just as I'd imagined it would be. xoxoxoxoDora
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome! And, omg..I couldn't agree more; there needs to be MORE stock! And, why not a counter? Just one, one counter in the U.S. would be enough for me...lol. So sad.
DeleteBejeweled is definitely darker and more of a deep, warm brown, where Bordeaux has more purple shimmery-ness going on. A really close dupe for Bejeweled is MAC Glamour Check (LE Starflash shadow). Bordeaux is kind of like a darker and slightly more brown tinged version of MAC Star Violet. What I'm inarticulately getting at, is that they're very different..lol. I alway reply to comments very late at night and make zero sense..lol.
So, if you already have MAC Glamour Check, then definitely get Bordeaux instead. Either shadows are great, tbh. LIttle warning with the RBR lipsticks; I wasn't thrilled with them after I put them on. :/ I mean, I really love the Shimmering Luxe Balm, but the actual lipsticks have a strange spicy-ish herbal type scent...idk. It's really hard to describe, but I do not care for the scent. When I ordered, I was under the impression they were scent-free. The Color Burst lipsticks definitely have a scent. Perhaps the Succulence of Dew don't have it, but I wouldn't know. Just thought I'd update/warn. Some people don't care about scents, either way..but I'm really picky about it, so. I hope that helped! :D xxx
